Public policy, social issues, gender politics, religion, civitas, and other taboo topics fall under the hammer of Shava's iconoclasmic force of natural philosophy.

The opportunity of underemployment
Wednesday, March 10, 2004

For the last 37 years, I've known I was going to be a writer, but I've rarely actually sold any of my writing. Although I write likely over 10,000 words a week, I've almost perversely kept that writing in open and unpaid forums.
I've decided to stop running away from what I despair may be my best talent. Being currently underemployed this is an easier than it might have been. Any business consulting contracts or incredibly cool jobs out there tell me! I could fill up time with volunteer work or thrashing looking for consulting work. But it's time for me to fish or cut bait.
It's time to write.
As part of this resolution, I've decided to write something in my blog on a daily basis. I always write about something interesting elsewhere -- every day. It will end up here.
Ganesha is the "remover of obstacles" from India. I've been asking him to get me an opportunity to write. I think I asked a fuzzy question! But I will make the best of what the gods hand me.
